Team Notes
- The loss to James Madison is just the fourth for Richmond in their last 16 games dating back to last season.
- The setback is only the second for the Spiders in November under head coach Danny Rocco (8-2). Rocco has lost only six games (22-6) in nine seasons as a head coach.
- Despite trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter, Richmond has out-scored its opponents 97-33 in the first quarter this season. JMU is just the fourth team to score in the first 15 minutes against UR this year.
Player Notes
- QB Michael Strauss moved in to third place on Richmond’s career passing list with 6,888 passing yards. Strauss had 225 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
- RB Seth Fisher ran for 124 yards on just 14 carries – his third 100-yard game of his career and the second this season.
- LB Eric Wright had a game-high 11 tackles, 1.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss for the Spiders. Wright’s 3.0 TFL tied a career-high.
- RB Jacobi Green had a pair of receiving touchdowns in the second quarter (28, 9) – the second and third receiving scores of the season and his sixth and seventh total TDs of the year.
- WR Brian Brown’s 4-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter was his second of the season.
