Team Notes
- With the victory, Richmond moves on to the FCS Playoffs Second Round for the seventh time in program history.
- Dating back to the 2007 season, Richmond is now 8-2 in their last 10 FCS Playoff games.
- Richmond’s 46 points scored are the most in the 18-game FCS Playoff history of the program.
- With the win, Richmond head coach Danny Rocco is now 10-2 in the month of November in three years at UR. In nine seasons as a head coach, Rocco is 24-6 in the month.
- With its 22-0 lead after the first quarter, Richmond has now out-scored opponents, 129-43, in the first 15 minutes this season. Morgan State is the eighth team to be shut out in the first quarter this year by the Spiders.
- Richmond’s 22 first-quarter points are the most for any Spider team in the playoffs and also represent the most first-half points scored by UR in any playoff game.
- The Spiders improved to 7-0 this season when leading at half time.
- Richmond also moved to 7-0 this season when scoring 30 or more points.
Player Notes
- With his 42-yard field goal in the third quarter, K Peter Yoder set the Richmond school record with his 19th made field goal of the season. On the career list, Yoder’s 19 FGM rank in a tie for seventh place.
- With his three touchdowns, RB Seth Fisher now ranks in a tie for third place on Richmond’s single-season touchdown list. Fisher’s 24 career scores is tied for sixth place, while his 12 rushing scores this year rank in a tie for seveth.
- WR Reggie Diggs ranks third in on Richmond’s single-season receptions list (77), fifth in receiving yards (1,017) and tied for sixth in TD receptions (7).
- QB Michael Strauss ranks fourth on Richmond’s single-season top-10 list in passing TDs (20), fifth in completions (213), seventh in passing yards (2,474) and ninth in attempts (309).
- With his four touchdown passes, Strauss moved in to second place on Richmond’s career touchdown pass list, just six behind Eric Ward.
- WR Brian Brown ranks sixth on Richmond’s single-season receptions list (71) and ninth on the receiving yards list (908).
- With his sack, DL Evan Kelly moved in to 10th place on Richmond’s career sack list with 17.0.
- CB Tafon Mainsah recorded his first career interception.
- LB Eric Wright tallied his third interception of the season and the fourth of his career.
- DB Justin Grant notched his first interception of the season and the fourth of his career.
