Spider Football Practice No. 14 Report

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders football team continued its quest for a 2014 CAA Championship on Friday when the squad hit the field for practice No. 13 of training camp.
The Spiders, practicing in full pads, continued to install goal line and coming out review on a sunny, 81-degree day in Richmond.
Practice Notes
- In the first team session of the day, QB Michael Strauss found WR Rashad Ponder down the left has to kick things off for the offense.
- The following play, RB T.J. Moon had a big run down the middle to start things off for the second team.
- DB Dominique Miller showed great coverage, picking up a pass breakup against QB David Broadus down the left sideline.
- TE Nick Holloway made a diving catch from Broadus for big yardage and to get the momentum going for the offense.
- P D.J. Helkowski and Broadus shared punting reps again, while K Peter Yoder took all kickoffs during the special teams session.
- To end practice, the Spiders ran goal line and coming out situations. Four Spiders found the endzone, including WR Reggie Diggs, TE Hunter Westfall and RB Jeremiah Hamlin.
