Post-Practice Quotes
“It was nice to finally do some more thud and get used to being more physical on the first day of shoulder pads. It’s a nice process that we work into and we did some new things today where we try to do more team stuff. Anything that is like a game is great for us this early.”
-- Defensive Coordinator Bob Trott on Wednesday’s practice
“First day of pads is always kind of slow. For the young guys, they are still looking around not sure of where to go or where to be. For the older guys, we’re out there executing and trying to get better. It felt good to finally be able to hit somebody. I hadn’t hit anyone since the spring game.”
-- DB Justin Grant on practice
“It’s getting hotter and everyone’s getting fatigued, but we continue to keep just grinding through. We took a step forward from yesterday, but we still have a long way to go. It’s always hard the first day with pads, but we’ll get used to it.”
-- WR Rashad Ponder on Wednesday’s practice
