Spiders Jump To 16/18 In National FCS Rankings
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Spiders' convincing 48-17 triumph over Maine last Saturday at rain-soaked Robins Stadium was also impressive to the voters in the two major FCS college football polls.
Richmond jumped from 19th to 16th in the STATS FCS Top 25 and from 20th to 18th in the FCS Coaches Poll. Dating back to last season, the Spiders have been nationally-ranked 19 consecutive weeks. There are four CAA teams ranked in each poll this week, with James Madison, Villanova and New Hampshire joining Richmond.
