#CAAFB Going Deep: Richmond - "Spider Strength"
RICHMOND, Va. - CAA Football's latest "Going Deep" feature tells the story of Richmond offensive lineman Thomas Evans, who owns the distinction of the strongest player in Spider football history.
The redshirt junior holds the Richmond three-lift total record which includes the power clean, back squat and bench press totalling 1575 lbs. moved. He also holds the bench press record at 525 lbs. and the power clean record at 425 lbs.
Thomas is one of four captains guiding the Spiders this season along with WR Reggie Diggs, DL Winston Craig and his roommate LB Omar Howard. This weekend No. 16/18-ranked Richmond (3-1, 1-0 CAA) will welcome Elon (2-3, 1-1 CAA) to Robins Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available HERE.
