Richmond To Square Off With William & Mary In FCS Playoffs

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond football team will have a rematch with Capital Cup rival William & Mary next weekend (Dec. 5) when the Tribe visits Robins Stadium for a second round matchup in the 2015 FCS Playoffs. The game will kick off at Noon.
After defeating William & Mary, 20-9, at Robins Stadium on Nov. 21 in the 125th meeting of the rivalry, the Spiders received the No. 7 overall seed and a bye to the second round of the FCS Playoffs. The Tribe defeated Duquesne at home on Saturday night, 52-49, to earn a second round tilt with the Spiders. It will be the first time in the history of the rivalry that these two programs will meet in the postseason.
Richmond posted an 8-3 record overall this season and a 6-2 mark in the CAA en route to a championship and automatic berth into the FCS Playoffs. Richmond has been led, especially in the second half of the season, by National Offensive Player of the Year candidate RB Jacobi Green who has amassed a career-best and CAA leading 1,285 yards on the ground to go with 15 touchdowns which also led the league.

Non-season ticket locations for the second round game are also now on sale for $35.00. Any un-purchased season ticket locations will go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 9:00 a.m.
