Football Playoff Sportsline Tuesday At Outback At Noon
Another football playoff edition of the Spider Sportsline will be held this Tuesday, Dec. 15 with Coach Danny Rocco. The popular radio show airs live from Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, from noon-1pm on ESPN 950, SPORTS FM 100.5, RichmondSpiders.com and ESPN950am.com.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy lunch, and talk Spider and college football. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-622-0950 or toll free 877-994-4950. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
The No. 7 seed Spiders defeated No. 2 seed Illinois State in the quarterfinals last Friday night, snapping the Redbirds 19-game home win streak. Next up is a semifinal trip to the Fargodome and a meeting with four-time defending national champ and No. 3 seed North Dakota State. Game time is 8pm ET. It will be televised on ESPN2 and broadcast on the Spider IMG Sports Network.New this season, a live video webcast of the show will be available on the Spider Athletics YouTube page. A video archive of each week’s show will be posted on the same page and each show will also be archived for audio playback in ESPN 950's Audio Vault.
This will be the last Spider Sportsline with Coach Rocco of the calendar year. If Richmond reaches the championship game, additional shows could be added pending team schedules.
Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, is open for lunch seven days a week at 11 a.m. There are four other conveniently-located Outback restaurants throughout the area – in Richmond off Huguenot Road; in Colonial Heights off S.
