Spider Football Hosts Pro Day On Tuesday
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – On Tuesday, the University of Richmond Spiders football team welcomed scouts and position coaches from the National Football League at Sports Reality in Mechanicsville, Va.
This year's event saw over a dozen scouts and coaches from NFL teams attend Richmond’s Pro Day. Among the players participating in the Pro Day activities were Austin Gund, Jacob Ruby, Chad Kolumber, Rashad Ponder, Justin Grant, Aaron Roane, Terrence Fullum, Mylon Blueford, DeShawn Holmes and Michael Strauss.
Richmond's Pro Days have traditionally been well attended by NFL scouts and coaches in recent history, as NFL players and Spider alumni Kerry Wynn (New York Giants), Cooper Taylor (New York Giants), Kendall Gaskins (San Francisco 49ers), Lawrence Sidbury (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Tim Hightower (New Orleans Saints) have all participated.
