Four Spiders Earn Preseason All-American Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Four University of Richmond Spider football standouts earned preseason All-American honors from USA College Football on Tuesday.
FB Seth Fisher was named a First-Team Preseason All-American, while WR Reggie Diggs and K Peter Yoder were named to the second team. WR Brian Brown was named an honorable mention All-American.
With 12,297 student-athletes competing on the gridiron for 122 programs in 2014, USA College Football recognized the top four percent of the returning players (500) on their preseason All-American teams.
All four honorees for the Spiders earned All-CAA accolades last season. Along with being named First-Team All-CAA, Fisher was also named a First-Team All-American by The Sports Network. Diggs and Yoder were both named Second-Team All-CAA, while Brown earned a spot on the third team a season ago.
The Spiders will open the 2015 season on Sept. 5 at Big 10-foe Maryland at 12 PM on ESPNU. The home season commences on Sept. 19 against VMI at Robins Stadium.
