Spider Football Practice No. 13 Report

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 18-ranked University of Richmond Spiders football team continued training camp on Monday morning at Robins Stadium with the team’s 13th practice.
Monday’s practice was the hottest yet for the team, as the squad ran in shells for the two-hour session. The team worked on installing red zone offense and defense for the majority of practice.
Practice Observations
- WR Reggie Diggs shined in both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 team drills on Monday. Diggs caught a 15-yard touchdown from QB Kyle Lauletta in 7-on-7’s and then caught a 20-yard score from Lauletta later in 11-on-11’s.
- QB Kevin Johnson connected with fellow freshman WR Tyler Wilkins in 7-on-7’s for a 20-yard score.
- Defensively, LB Trey Moore tipped a pass that was intercepted by LB Selton Hodge in 7-on-7 team drills.
- DB David Herlocker also had a nice pass breakup in 7-on-7’s.
- Following practice, new University of Richmond president Dr. Ronald Crutcher spoke with the entire team and coaching staff.
