Spider Football Practice No. 17 Report

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 18-ranked University of Richmond Spiders football team concluded camp on Friday morning with its 17th practice.
The skies were clear at the team started early in Robins Stadium. After some short positional work the groups came together for another scripted scrimmage similar to what took place on Thursday with hitting still limited.
Practice Observations
- The scrimmage began with a brief session of 7 on 7.
- Once the team moved to 11 on 11 DB Jarriel Jordan made an immediate impact with a pass break up on 6-4 WR Gershom Ejoni.
- RB Seth Fisher was back in pads and running between the tackles. His best play of the day was a 20-yard TD gallop from the left hash.
- DB Ayo Ogunniyi set the standard for the defensive backfield when he made a clean pick near the end zone.
- DB Charles Mack snagged a deep ball out of the air against the second team offense.
- QB Kyle Lauletta let loose a 40 yard bomb that landed in the arms of WR Brian Brown who made a nice over-the-shoulder catch for a TD.
- Later on Jarriel Jordan got in on the action again, forcing a fumble on the goal line on a deep ball caught over the middle.
- Lauletta finished the final drive of the morning by making an adjustment when his pocket broke down on a play-fake. He rolled to his left and found an open receiver down field.
