Spider Sportsline Airs Tuesday At Outback With Evans, Jordan

Redshirt junior captain offensive lineman Thomas Evans and sophomore defensive back Jarriel Jordan are set to join head coach Danny Rocco on this Tuesday's Spider Sportsline. The popular radio show airs live from Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, from noon-1pm on ESPN 950, SPORTS FM 100.5, RichmondSpiders.com and ESPN950am.com.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy lunch, and talk Spider and college football. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-622-0950 or toll free 877-994-4950. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
Evans is a leader in the weight room, and anchors an offensive line that has helped the Spider offense average 31 points and 382 yards per game through the first three contests of the season.
Jordan recovered a key fumble in the Spider red zone early in the second quarter of Richmond's 42-10 triumph over VMI.
Again this season, Spider Club members can register at Outback during the program by showing their 2015-16 Spider Club membership card to win a Spider Fan Pack of great prizes at the end of the season. Chances of winning increase by attending and registering each week.
New this season, a live video webcast of the show will be available on the Spider Athletics YouTube page. A video archive of each week’s show will be posted on the same page and each show will also be archived for audio playback in ESPN 950's Audio Vault.
The Spider Sportsline with Coach Rocco will air live from Outback, 7917 W. Broad St., every Tuesday during the college football season, including this week, even though the Spiders were idle this past Saturday. Richmond hosts Maine this Saturday at 3:30 at Robins Stadium on Family Weekend. The game is the Spiders' CAA Football opener, while the Black Bears won their conference opener last week, beating Rhode Island.
Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, is open for lunch seven days a week at 11 a.m.
There are four other conveniently-located Outback restaurants throughout the area – in Richmond off Huguenot Road; in Colonial Heights off S. Park Circle; in Mechanicsville off Bell Creek Road and in Midlothian off Chital Drive.
