SpiderTV Classics: October 24, 2015 - UR 59 JMU 49

If you are missing Spider football during the bye week, this should help fill the void. It was dubbed an Instant Classic when it happened, and now it's a SpiderTV Classic.
With ESPN's nationally-televised College Gameday pregame show broadcasting live from the JMU campus - complete with a cameo appearance from Richmond's live mascot, Tarrant the Tarrantula - the Spider football team spoiled the Dukes' party with a high-octane 59-49 victory in front of more than 26,000 fans and a regional TV audience on CSN.
The highly-anticpated matchup of state and conference rivals, and nationally-ranked teams, didn't disappoint. The No. 11 Spiders and No. 3 Dukes staged an offensive showcase. The game featured 108 points, more than 1300 yards of total offense and several record-book performances.
Spider senior running back Jacobi Green rushed for a career-high 236 yards and five touchdowns, sophomore quarterback Kyle Lauletta threw for a career-high 415 yards and junior wide receiver Brian Brown caught seven passes for a career-high 204 yards. Richmond's offense rolled up a school record 720 yards of total offense.
The victory improved UR's record to 6-1, 4-0 in the CAA and vaulted the Spiders to a lofty No. 6 nationally ranking, en route to a post-season run to the national semifinals.
