Howard, Pavik Set To Join Coach Rocco On Sportsline Tuesday
Linebacker Omar Howard and fullback James Pavik are roommates, classmates and preseason All-CAA selections, and Tuesday they will be the player guests on the Spider Sportsline with Coach Danny Rocco at Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad St. The popular radio show airs live from noon-1pm during the college football season on ESPN 950, SPORTSFM 100.5, espn950am.com and RichmondSpiders.com, as well as on tablets and mobile devices.
Howard, a two-time captain and redshirt senior from Midlothian, is the Spiders' leading tackler through the first three games with 19. He was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2015, recording 136 tackles, second most in the conference and the eighth-highest single-season total in Richmond history.
Pavik earned preseason honors for his blocking in the backfield. In the Spiders' victory over Norfolk St., the redshirt senior from Mathews, Va. carried the ball for the first two times in his collegiate career, gaining six yards.
