Spiders' Staff to Join Coach to Cure MD Saturday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – On Saturday, Coach Rocco and his staff will wear shoulder patches to raise awareness in the Coach to Cure MD charity through the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
For the ninth consecutive year, the AFCA is working to raise awareness and research funding to cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is the most prolific genetic killer diagnosed in childhood.
The annual effort has raised more than $1.2 million dollars to battle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Last year, more than 10,000 college coaches at more than 525 different institutions participated in Coach to Cure MD events.
