Robins Stadium Policies
The University of Richmond welcomes you to Richmond football at Robins Stadium. The Department of Athletics, as well as the entire university community, is available to assist your needs on game days. In addition, our Game Operations Staff will work closely with law enforcement agencies (UR Police Department and surrounding jurisdictions) to make your trip to our beautiful campus a memorable one.
Aisle/Section Entry
Guests are encouraged to have their mobile tickets available throughout the game to assist in seat verification and entry into each aisle or section.
Aisle Traffic
Guests are urged to arrive at their seats well in advance of kickoff. Please be courteous to other guests by moving about the stadium only during time outs, quarter breaks, or when a play has ended.
No alcoholic beverages may be brought inside Robins Stadium. Any ticket holder with an intoxicant in the stadium will be subject to ejection without refund, and may have ticket privileges to future UR events revoked.
Alcohol Policy (Outside Stadium)
Parking Lot C70 -- located across the street from Robins Stadium -- Lot C66 -- located across the street from the Robins Center -- and Lot C61 -- located between Robins Center and Pitt Field -- are the only ABC-licensed lots on the UR campus.
Persons 21 years and older are allowed to drink alcoholic beverages in moderation in these areas beginning four hours before kickoff. Drinking is not permitted in these lots beginning 10 minutes prior to kickoff and through the rest of the day. Law enforcement reserves the right to check identification for anyone consuming alcoholic beverages in these lots, and may suspend drinking privileges at any time at their discretion.
All other lots on the UR campus are not ABC-licensed lots and alcoholic beverage are not permitted in those lots. Violators are subject to ejection from the UR campus and/or arrest.
Alcoholic beverages or containers of any kind are NOT permitted inside Robins Stadium. Persons identified with alcohol will be asked to leave the premises. Guests appearing to be intoxicated will not be allowed to enter the stadium and, if observed to be intoxicated once inside the Stadium, are subject to ejection and/or arrest.
Animals
Animals are not permitted in or on stadium grounds, with the exception of trained service animals.
Artificial Noisemakers
Artificial noisemakers (air horns, cowbells, etc.) are not permitted in Robins Stadium. Be considerate and allow your neighbor to enjoy the game. Please keep personal audio devices at a low volume.
ATMs
There are no ATMs (automated teller machines) inside Robins Stadium. Major credit cards and Spidercards are accepted at concession stands and UR Spider Shop. An ATM is located inside Tyler Haynes Commons on the first floor at the middle staircase.
Baby Changing Stations
Changing stations are available in the public restrooms on the south end of the West Concourse and in the public restrooms on the East Concourse. Family restrooms on both the East and West Concourses are also equipped with changing stations.
Bags & Backpacks
For the safety and enjoyment of all fans attending the game, backpacks and large bags are not permitted in Robins Stadium. All persons, small bags, and purses are subject to inspection. Individuals who refuse to have their bag inspected will not be allowed to enter the stadium.
Media personnel may bring bags and backpacks into Robins Stadium, and they are subject to search.
Banners (Signs, Flags)
Handheld banners and/or signs are approved as long as they are: 1. In good taste; 2. Do not block the view of others; and 3. Are not attached to flag poles. Banners or flags cannot be hung over the spectator walls at Robins Stadium without prior approval from the Department of Athletics.
Broadcasts
The flagship radio station for Richmond Spiders football games is ESPN 106.1FM. Broadcasts are also available for free on RichmondSpiders.com and espnrichmond.com as well as mobile devices and tablet apps.
The Spider Kickoff Show airs live from the Ray Tate Radio Booth in the Robins Stadium press box 30 minutes prior to the game. The Spider Post Game Show includes interviews with players and coaches, stats, highlights and out-of-town scores, and runs approximately 30 minutes following the game. Fans can also catch an exclusive live interview with head coach Russ Huesman at halftime.
The live radio broadcast is available at Robins Stadium on concourses and in restrooms.
Live video streaming of Spider football home games is available on all devices via ESPN Plus. A subscription is required.
Cameras & Video Cameras
Still cameras with lenses less than six inches are allowed, however flash photography and stands/tripods are not permitted. Videos cameras are not allowed in the stadium.
Concessions
Concession booths open when Stadium Gates open -- 90 minutes before game time -- and remain open until midway through the fourth quarter. Full-service concession booths are located on both the East and West Concourses of Robins Stadium. Credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, and AMEX) will be accepted at these locations, as will Spidercards. Separate vendor carts will be positioned at various locations throughout Robins Stadium.
The visiting team's players, personnel and fans, as well as game officials, are guests of the University of Richmond. Harassment of the visiting team, its fans, and game officials will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from Robins Stadium.
The Game Operations Staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where guests can enjoy the game free from unacceptable behavior, including the following:
- No unruly or disruptive behavior
- No obscene or indecent clothing allowed
- No obscene gestures
- No foul or abusive language
- Intoxicated guests, or guests showing signs of impairment related to alcohol, will be removed from venue
- Interfering with another fan's ability to enjoy the game is prohibited
- No standing or sitting in the aisles
- No throwing of objects
- Derogatory comments directed towards officials, student-athletes, coaches, team representatives, university employees, and fans regarding race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, and national or ethnic origin will not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the site of competition.
Our Game Operations Staff reserves the right to determine what is unruly or unacceptable behavior; therefore, warranting removal from the venue. If anyone is interfering with your enjoyment of our facility, please contact the nearest member of the Game Operations Staff for assistance.
Guests in violation of policies are subject to removal from the event, arrest, and prosecution under the applicable laws and statutes, and could forfeit the right to ticket privileges. Students who violate are subject to university disciplinary procedures and/or loss of ticket privileges for future athletic events.
Disabled Guests (Handicap Access & Seating)
Handicap seating is available in Sections 103-107 (West Concourse), Sections 113-116 (East Concourse).
Handicap-accessible gates at Robins Stadium are Gates C and Gate H/Media Gate.
** Please note, handicap seating in Sections 113-116 are ONLY accessible through Gate H. Handicapped seats in Sections 103-107 are ONLY accessible through Gate C.
Drinking Fountains
Drinking fountains are available on both the East and West Concourses.
Elevators
One elevator on the East Concourse provides access to the Press Box. One elevator on the West Concourse provides access to the Club and Suite Levels. Use of these elevators is available only to individuals with proper tickets and/or credentials.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of a serious emergency, all Game Operations Staff and Law Enforcement Officers will be available to assist guests in and around Robins Stadium, including those with disabilities. Information will be provided over the public address system and on the scoreboard.
When arriving at Robins Stadium, please familiarize yourself with the nearest exit points of the stadium.
In the event of an evacuation, guests that park in Lot C66, Lot C70 and Milhiser Lot (Lot C67) will be asked to proceed directly to their automobile. Guests that park in all other lots will be directed to the Robins Center. Game Operations Staff and Law Enforcement Officers will provide information on a safe return to Robins Stadium, and information can also be found on the radio at ESPN Richmond on 106.1 FM.
Family Restrooms/All-Gender Restrooms
Family restrooms and all-gender restrooms are located within the concourse areas. There is one family restroom/all-gender restrooom at each end of the West Concourse, and one family restroom/all-gender restroom on the East Concourse adjacent to the elevator. These facilities are equipped with changing stations. Changing stations are also available within the West Concourse public restrooms on the south end and in the East Concourse public restrooms.

Field Access
Guests do not have access to the playing field at any time. Students may only enter their approved student section via the appropriate channels, and under no circumstances may enter the playing field. Only authorized personnel with proper credentials will be permitted on the field before, during, or after a game. Violators will be subject to arrest and prosecution.
First Aid
If medical assistance is required, notify the nearest Game Operations Staff or Law Enforcement Officer. The Police/First Aid Office is equipped to handle minor injuries and is located on the West Concourse. AED (automated external defibrillator) units are located on each concourse.
Food & Beverage
Food and drinks are prohibited from being brought inside Robins Stadium. Guests will find traditional stadium foods at each of the Robins Stadium concession stands.
Gates
Robins Stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to game time. The Stadium has nine gates, two of which are handicap accessible (Gate C and Gate H/Media Gate). Please see the list below, for information on access/services at each gate:
Gate A: Non-accessible
Gate B: All game day tickets and credentials
Gate C: All game day tickets and credentials; handicap accessible entrance
Gate D: Spider Gate
Gate E: All game day tickets and credentials
Gate F: All game day tickets and credentials
Gate G: All game day tickets and credentials
Gate H: All game day tickets and credentials; handicap accessible entrance; preferred media entrance

Game day programs are available for free at the various entry points to Robins Stadium and online at www.RichmondSpiders.com on the football schedule page and game day page.
Guest Services Kiosk
The Guest Services Kiosk is located on Lessing Plaza, behind the South End Zone.
Lost & Found
All lost and found items are to be turned into the Guest Services Kiosk located on Lessing Plaza. Beginning the Monday following each home game, lost and found items will be left at the Robins Center Ticket Office. This office can be reached at 804-289-8388 or 1-877-SPIDER-1.
Lost Persons
Please report any lost persons to the nearest Game Operations Staff or Law Enforcement Officer in your area.
Media Information
Media wishing to cover a football game at the University of Richmond must contact Associate Director of Athletics PR Christian Gravius (804-287-6313 or cgravius@richmond.edu) in advance to request credentials. The Press Box is only accessible to working media and other essential game personnel.
The Media Entrance is located at Gate H. Proper media credentials are required and bags are subject to search. Media Will Call can also be found at the Media Entrance and proper photo identification is required to claim credentials. Media parking is limited and a parking pass must be displayed for access to the Media Lot in R42 and R43.
The University of Richmond reserves the right to revoke media credentials for misuse and/or misrepresentation.
Merchandise
The Spider Shop at Robins Stadium and the UR Bookstore on campus (in the Tyler Haynes Commons) are the exclusive merchandise vendors on football game days. The UR Bookstore is open game days (Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.), selling Spider clothing and spirit items. The Spider Shop at Robins Stadium — with one location on the West Concourse and another on Lessing Plaza — opens 90 minutes before each game and remains open through the end of the third quarter. The Spider Shop at UR Stadium and the UR Bookstore accept all major credit cards, Spidercard, checks and cash.
Outside Groups/Visiting Team Events

Parking Lot Policies
Parking lots for Robins Stadium on football game days on the UR Campus open four hours prior to kickoff. Unauthorized vehicles parked in any permit-controlled lot will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense after 2 a.m. on game days. These areas include the following lots: C61, C62, C66, C67, C70, C73, C75, U3, R49, R47, R45, R43 and R42.
Additionally, parking illegally in handicap spaces, in fire lanes, or in areas immediately surrounding the Robins Center will result in towing at the owner's expense. Students with vehicles displaying an X or J permit must move their vehicles to the designated student parking area by 2 a.m. on game days. Resident student vehicles must be parked in their assigned lot on game day (exceptions to this will be X and J permits).

Player/Guest/Prospect Tickets
Richmond player/coach guests and prospect tickets are all digital. Tickets will be sent via email or text 24 hours prior to kick and can be downloaded to a mobile wallet. Visiting team player and coach guest tickets will also be sent via email or text 24 hours prior to kick to be downloaded to a mobile wallet.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted into Robins Stadium:
- Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
- Backpacks or large bags (media personnel may bring in these bags, and they are subject to search)
- Baby strollers
- Glass bottles or aluminum cans
- Coolers or containers
- Fireworks, firearms, or other weapons
- Artificial noisemakers are not permitted, including bullhorns, cowbells, horns, whistles, drums, and megaphones
- Outside food and beverage
- Skateboards or rollerblades
- Umbrellas
- Water bottles or mugs
- Items that can be thrown such as balls, frisbees, and other inflatables
Game Operations Staff and/or Law Enforcement Officers will make final decisions on all items that are brought into Robins Stadium.
Public Address
Messages for the public address announcer are acceptable only for emergencies and must be approved by the Department of Athletics.
Recycling
University Facilities will have recycle bins placed throughout Robins Stadium to collect the following materials: mixed paper, drink containers, and cardboard. Individual recycling bins will be clearly marked, as will all general trash bins.
Re-Entry
Re-entry to Robins Stadium is strictly prohibited. Fans are not allowed to leave Robins Stadium at any time and return, including halftime. Re-entry is permitted should Robins Stadium be evacuated due to an emergency.
Refunds/Resale
Tickets cannot be resold at Robins Stadium. The University of Richmond is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. There are no refunds on tickets, but tickets may be resold on SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan marketplace of Richmond Athletics. To sell your tickets on SeatGeek, log into your Account, go to “My Account” in the top right corner, and then click “Sell on SeatGeek".
Restrooms
Public restrooms are located within both the East and West Concourses at Robins Stadium. All restrooms at the stadium are handicap accessible.
Restrooms can also be found in the Robins Center ambulatory level (these restrooms are only open outside of the stadium and may not be accessed once entering Robins Stadium). Portable restrooms are available on football game days in various locations surrounding the stadium and throughout campus.
Baby changing stations are available in the public restrooms on the south end of the West Concourse and in the public restrooms on the East Concourse. Family restrooms and All-Gender restrooms are located on both the East and West Concourses are also equipped with changing stations.
Seating Policies
Season Ticket Seats: Season Tickets are available in all sections excluding 101-103, 109, 112, 114, 209, and 213.
Visiting Team Seats: Visiting team tickets are available in Sections 112, 113, and 212. Visiting team tickets can be purchased through the Robins Center Ticket Office.
UR Student Seats: UR Student seating is located in sections 109 and 209.

Scoreboard Messages
Messages displayed on the scoreboard are acceptable only for emergencies and must be approved by the Department of Athletics.
Shuttles
The University of Richmond will provide a continuously-running shuttle service on football game days. The shuttle service begins two hour prior to kickoff, operates during the game, and then continues for approximately one hour after the game concludes. There are four shuttle stops: three at campus parking lots and one at the stadium. All four shuttle stops are marked with a red, shuttle stop feather flag.
The shuttle delivery point at the stadium is located along Richmond Way, adjacent to The Refectory, across from the entrance to parking lot R45. From this location, fans may walk to the stadium entering at either Gate G, east side ticket location, or Gate C, west side ticket location.
The shuttle makes stops at the following parking lots located on the southern portion of campus, delivering fans to the stadium from these lots:
- Parking Lot W85, Jepson Alumni Center, 442 Westhampton Way - Enter parking lot at the second entrance, located across from the main entrance to the Alumni Center.
- Parking Lot U21, Queally Center for Admission and Career Services, 142 UR Drive - This parking lot is located across from the Queally Center, by the Information Kiosk, next to the Intramural Athletic Fields.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside and around the perimeter of Robins Stadium. This policy also applies to alternative smoking devices such as electronic or vapor cigarettes.
Student Gate
All UR students will claim a ticket through emails sent by Athletics Marketing prior to each game. When claiming a ticket, students will be able to download to their mobile wallet and present the ticket to be scanned at any gate when entering Robins Stadium.
Suite-Level and Club-Level Access
Suite-level and club-level access is located on the West Concourse via elevator. Guests must display proper tickets or credentials to access the elevator to the Suite or Club Levels.
Tailgating
Tailgating is defined as parking in a designated location/area and/or setting up non-permanent facilities, such as tents and tables, to consume food and beverages prior to an athletic event. Tailgating items such as tents, tables, grills, etc. must be confined to the space in which your vehicle is parked and may not occupy another parking space, and/or may not block roadways. Tailgating with food and non-alcoholic beverages may be enjoyed in all areas of campus. Legal possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages while tailgating is only permitted in Lots C61, C66 and C70 adjacent to Robins Stadium.
Tailgating is not permitted during the event and all lots need to be cleared within two hours after the conclusion of the game (except when a post-game event has been scheduled through the University Services/Events Office).

Ticket Information
The Robins Center Ticket Office is located in the main lobby of the Robins Center on the lower level facing College Road. The Ticket Office's normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. The Ticket Office, and all Robins Stadium Ticket Windows will open two hours prior to kickoff on game days.
Season Tickets: Individuals interested in season tickets can call the Robins Center Ticket Office at 1-877-SPIDER-1. Season tickets can be purchased online at https://richmondspiders.evenue.net.list/GS.
Day of Game Sales: If available, single-game tickets can be purchased at the Robins Center Ticket Window 1 and Ticket Window 2 on game days. Ticket Windows open two hours before kickoff and remain open until halftime. Tickets can be purchased via credit card (Visa, MasterCard Discover, AMEX), or cash.
Player/Guest/Prospect Tickets: Richmond player/coach guests and prospect tickets are all digital. Tickets will be sent via email or text 24 hours prior to kick and can be downloaded to a mobile wallet. Visiting team player and coach guest tickets will also be sent via email or text 24 hours prior to kick to be downloaded to a mobile wallet.
Will Call: Tickets reserved and placed at Will Call can be claimed at Ticket Window 2 located on the North entrance of the Robins Center on game day beginning two hours prior to kickoff. A government-issued photo ID must be presented to claim all tickets and credentials. Tickets and credentials will only be given to the individual listed in Will Call with a matching and valid ID.
Lost/Stolen Tickets: Prior to game day, the Robins Center Ticket Office can reprint your lost or stolen pre-paid ticket. Please call 1-877-SPIDER-1 for assistance. On game day, please proceed to Ticket Window 1 or Ticket Window 2 located on the North entrance of the Robins Center with a valid government-issued photo ID to reprint your ticket. Tickets will only be reprinted for the individual who purchased the tickets with a valid ID matching the name on the ticket account.
Ticket Windows
Robins Stadium guests will be serviced by two ticket window locations on game days, which each open two hours prior to kickoff. Please refer to the list below for locations and services offered at each window:
