Current Student-Athletes
The University of Richmond, as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), is responsible for ensuring that its student-athletes abide by all relevant conference and NCAA regulations. Below are the various areas current student-athletes should be mindful of while attending and competing at the University of Richmond.

Academic Eligibility
To be eligible for competition, student-athletes must maintain progress toward their degree by meeting the following requirements:

Financial Aid/Scholarships
In order for student-athletes to become eligible to receive athletically-related financial aid, the student-athlete must meet all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University of Richmond rules and regulations.

Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA)
All incoming and current student-athletes should complete the FAFSA regardless of their current financial status, as certain University of Richmond institutional aid awards require completion of the FAFSA. It is strongly encouraged that all incoming student-athletes complete the FAFSA and send it to the University of Richmond by November 1, as financial aid packaging takes place starting that month.            The University of Richmond offers a wide arrangement of grants, scholarships, federal work-study, loans, and other sources of aid for in-state and out-of-state students, as well as for students in various academic programs.            Much of the work, forms, and information student-athletes will be required to track and use will be found online via an ARMS Software account you will be given access to. It is important for University of Richmond student-athletes to familiarize themselves with this software as it will assist you in various ways during your time at the university. Academic Eligibility
To be eligible for competition, student-athletes must maintain progress toward their degree by meeting the following requirements:
Undergraduate Student-Athletes:
- Must be enrolled full-time, which is a minimum of 12 credits, at all times during the semester.
- You must pass at least 6 hours each semester to remain eligible.
- In your initial year of enrollment, you must successfully complete at least 24 credits towards your designated degree program during the fall, spring and summer to be eligible next year.
- A minimum of 18 credits must be earned during the regular academic year.
- Must be enrolled full-time, which is a minimum of 9 credits, at all times during the semester.
