Aaron Corp is in his second season as the quarterbacks coach at the University of Richmond for head coach Russ Huesman in 2018. Corp helped lead Richmond to the top passing attack in the Colonial Athletic Association last season, averaging 341 yards per game through the air.Â
Â
Corp guided former Spider Kyle Lauletta to the CAA Offensive Player of the Year award last season and into position for the 2018 NFL Draft. Lauletta led the CAA with 3,737 yards, 28 passing TDs and 3,827 yards of total offense and was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award.
Â
Prior to Richmond, Corp spent the two seasons at Norfolk State as the Spartans’ quarterbacks coach under former Richmond head coach Latrell Scott.
Â
During his time at NSU, Corp helped mentor Greg Hankerson into one of the program’s best-ever Division I players. Hankerson earned All-MEAC honors and posted some of the best offensive numbers in school history. In just two seasons, Hankerson finished third all-time in Norfolk State history in total offense. Prior to his time at NSU, Corp spent a season with Scott at Virginia State, where he was a part of the 2014 CIAA Championship.
Â
The California native, Corp joined the Spiders as a player after spending three years at USC (2007-09) and started 16 games for Richmond in two years, battling an injury that cut short his junior season. After an outstanding two years with the Spiders, he spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins before starting his coaching career.Â
