Claire Evko rejoined the University of Richmond as the Director of Marketing and Sales in August of 2025 after gaining experience as the Marketing and Game Experience Graduate Assistant during the 2022-23 academic year while she completed a Master’s in Sport Leadership through the CSL program at VCU.
Evko signed on at VCU in June 2023 as a sales and service consultant, helping with season ticket holders as well as help with themed games, like VCU Women's Basketball SupportHER game which was aimed at breaking attendance records and highlighting women's sports in the greater Richmond area. In April 2024 she was promoted to senior sales and service consultant.Evko graduated from the Univeristy of Lynchburg magna cum laude in May 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Sport Management and minors in Marketing, Business, and Digital Media Marketing and received the James C. Fox Award for most outstanding student in her major.
While at Lynchburg, Claire held internships with the University of Lynchburg Athletics Director, Liberty University Director of Aquatics and The Old Dominion Athletic Conference Commissioner’s Office.
During her time at Lynchburg, she swam on the Division III swim team that started her freshman year. Evko was a three-time Old Dominion Athletic Conference All Academic team honoree, received Second Team All-Conference honors for the 2020-2021 year and Third Team All-Conference honors for the 2021-2022 year. She contributed to the team’s first ever conference championship in 2021.
