Emily Brode is in her third year as assistant athletic trainer at the University of Richmond in 2021-22. Brode is responsible for the medical care of the football and women’s swimming and diving teams.
Brode was previously an intern athletic trainer on the Richmond staff from 2018-2019, working with women’s lacrosse, women’s swimming and diving, and women’s soccer. She earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University in 2018.
Brode received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Maryland in 2015. In her time at the University of Maryland, Brode was in the Gemstone Honors Program.
Brode is a certified athletic trainer through the BOC, licensed in the commonwealth of Virginia, and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. She is also a certified M1 Graston technique provider. She is a native of Western Maryland, and currently resides in Henrico.
