Mike Poplaski was promoted to General Manager of Spiders Sports Properties in April of 2021 and directed the transition of multi-media rights from Learfield to Playfly Sports Properties.
Poplaski manages corporate sponsorship sales within the athletic department and leads the outreach and relationships with local, regional, and national businesses to develop marketing partnerships. Prior to his current role he was the Account Executive with Learfield at Richmond for five years.
Prior to Richmond, Poplaski worked for one season with the Washington Redskins in their Premium Seating department, selling Club Seats to businesses and individuals.
He got his start in sports as a Regional Corporate Sales Manager for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders baseball team (AAA Affiliate of the NY Yankees) where he spent two seasons.
A 2013 graduate of the University of Richmond, Poplaski received a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the Robins School of Business. As a student-athlete he helped the Spiders football team earn two conference championships (2009 & 2012) in four years.
Originally from Mechanicsburg, Pa., Poplaski lives in Mechanicsville, Va. with his wife Kyra, daughter Lindsey, son Ryan, and their golden retriever Chase.
