Taylor Blakely

Taylor Blakely enters his third year as the director of marketing and sales at the University of Richmond in 2018-19. Blakely brings seven years of NCAA Division I experience in marketing to the Spiders.
Blakely is responsible for all marketing of women’s basketball, including the creation and implementation of marketing plays along with serving as the game producer. He assists with football and men’s basketball and is responsible for all on field and on court promotions and events in-game.
Prior to Richmond, Blakely spent two and a half years as the director of marketing and promotions at Oakland University. He was responsible for marketing all 16 points at Oakland and oversaw a staff of two full-time members and 12 marketing interns. He led the marketing efforts for the largest attended college baseball game in the state of Michigan when Oakland hosted Michigan State at The Palace of Auburn Hills (20,228).
Blakely also spent time at High Point, Ohio University, Detroit Mercy and South Carolina in various marketing roles.
Blakely earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (Sport Communication) from Mississippi State in 2009. He completed his Master of Sport and Entertainment Management from South Carolina in 2010.
Blakely is married to the former Krista Homer and they have Sullivan Grace.
