Reggie Brown Tabbed Colonial Athletic Association Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond sophomore guard Reggie Brown (Flushing, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association's Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. He is the second Spider to earn the accolade this season. Senior forward Greg Stevenson earned the same honor the week of November 27.
Brown paced the Spiders with 27.5 points on 57.1 percent (8-of-14) shooting from three-point range in the team's two games last week versus Old Dominion and George Washington. In Wednesday's win over conference foe Old Dominion, Brown scored a team-high 27 points going 10-for 16 from the field (5-for-8 from three-point land), had four assists and three steals. In Saturday's 84-80 overtime victory at George Washington, the sophomore posted a career-best 28 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Brown shot 11-for-13 from the free-throw line in the contest including 6-for-6 in the overtime stanza.
The 6-4 guard leads the Spiders and the conference in scoring 20.0 points per game. He is third in the conference in three-point field goal percentage, at 46.3 percent (19-of-41).
Brown and the Spiders return to action on Tuesday, December 12, hosting Marist at 7:30 p.m.
