Greg Stevenson Tabbed Colonial Athletic Association Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond senior forward Greg Stevenson (Fayetteville, N.C./Fayetteville 71st) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association's Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. He is the first Spider to earn the accolade this season.
Stevenson paced the Spiders with 20.0 points on 62.5 percent (15-of-24) shooting from the field in the team's two games last week versus then-No. 17 Wake Forest and at Western Michigan. In Monday's 69-61 loss to the Demon Deacons, Stevenson delivered a game-high 21 points and snared five rebounds. In Saturday's 86-70 victory at Western Michigan, he posted 19 points on 7-of-11 from the field, had a game-high eight rebounds and came away with two steals.
The 6-6 forward leads the Spiders and ranks second among conference scoring leaders with 19.7 points per game. He is also tops in the conference in three-point field goal percentage accuracy, connecting at a 62.5 percent clip (5-of-8). Stevenson paces the team in rebounding (6.0 rpg), offensive rebounds (six), defensive rebounds (12) and is second in free throw percentage (.889).
Stevenson and the Spiders return to action on Saturday, December 2, visiting Mississippi State at 2 p.m.
