2001-2002 VERIZON ATLANTIC 10 COMMISSIONER'S CUP STANDINGS
11/29/2001 | Men's Basketball
In each of the Atlantic 10's 22 championship sports, points are awarded in descending order of finish, equal to the number of teams which participate in each sport. Regular season standings are used in round-robin sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, field hockey, women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, and women's volleyball.
The institution with the most points at the end of the year is the recipient of the Verizon Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Cup. In sports with divisional play, points are based on overall Conference winning percentage. In the event of ties, the total points of the tied teams are added together and divided equally among them.
