| Total Yards | ||||
| 1. | Buster O'Brien | 447 | vs. Ohio | Dec. 27, 1968 |
| 2. | Cordell Roane | 402 | vs. Hofstra | Nov. 3, 2001 |

Richmond has outrushed its opponent in seven of eight games this season and have outgained its opponents 2135-1023, or 239.8 yards/game to 95.9 yards/game on the ground ... The only team to outrush the Spiders was Maine (Oct. 6) ... The Black Bears ran for 180 yards, while Richmond managed 132 rushing yards -- its lowest mark of the season ... The Spiders have held their opponent to less than 100 yards rushing four times this season and in each of the last two games.
Quarterback over a 1,000?... After eight games this season, junior quarterback Cordell Roane has recorded 678 rushing yards, 322 shy of 1,000 ... With three games remaining, Roane would have to average 107.3 yards per game to become the first Richmond quarterback to eclipse the mark ... Last season, quarterback Sean Gustus ran for 909 yards in 13 games.
Entering the top-10... Ed Krellis ranks 10th all-time with 858 rushing yards during the 1976 season -- Roane is 180 yards away from entering the top-10 ... He would have to average 60.0 rushing yards/game to crack the top 10.
Leading the Offense... During the 1999 and 2000 season, the Richmond quarterback led the team in both rushing and passing ... In 1999, Jimmie Miles ran for a team-high 633 yards and passed for 1,977 yards ... Last fall, Cordell Roane leads the team in rushing with 678 yards but ranks second with 288 passing yards ...
