Men's Golf Ties for Fourth at James Madison Invitational

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's golf team tied for fourth at the James Madison Invitational played at the Lakeview Golf Course in Harrisonburg, Va. Today, the Spiders followed a first-round 286 with a second-round 291 to shoot 577 as a team.
Junior Kyle Hess (Buffalo, N.Y.) tied for fourth after firing a two-round 137 (66-71). Joining Hess in the top-15 was senior Mark DiGiacomo (Lebanon, Pa.). He fired a two-round 143 (69-74) for the event.
Also competing for the Spiders were: senior Ryan McLain (72-74-143/T-31), senior Wes Turiano (80-72-152/T-80) and sophomore Steve Lessing (79-77-156/T-98).
St. John's captured the team title after firing a 562 (285-277). Their second-round score was five strokes better than any other team. The Red Storm's John DeForest won the individual medal after shooting a seven-under 135 (66-69).
