PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Mike Skrocki scored a career-high 25 points, including seven 3-pointers, as Richmond stunned struggling Temple 75-68 on Wednesday night.
Reggie Brown added 23 points, including five 3-point shots, and Tony Dobbins had 16 points for Richmond (9-9, 3-2 Atlantic 10).
Lynn Greer and David Hawkins had 23 points apiece to lead Temple (6-11, 3-3), which has lost nine of its last 12 games.
Richmond shot 14-of-33 from three-point range, capitalizing on Temple's weakness in defending from behind the arc. In the past three losses, Temple's opponents have scored a combined 44-of-97 from three-point range.
Richmond trailed 41-31 at the half and 58-48 with 12:22 left. But a 14-2 run fueled by two 3-pointers from Skrocki gave Richmond its first lead since early in the first half, a 63-60 margin with 3:40 left.
Temple was held without a field goal for the final 6:22, while Richmond hit nine straight free-throws to cap the win.
Temple defeated Richmond in their last meeting, 77-64, at the 1991 NCAA Tournament eastern regional finals. Temple leads the all-time series 3-2.
