Goddard makes most of 'Chance'

To some degree, Deashawn Goddard's drive can be gauged by watching him play football as a University of Richmond starting safety. Or you can take a deeper look, and really be impressed.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Goddard grew up with siblings and cousins - 10 children in all - sharing one house. His mom lived there sometimes, but Goddard says he was raised primarily by his aunt and grandmother.
"If I had stayed in New York, I probably would have gotten into some kind of trouble," Goddard said.
He left, with assistance he welcomed.
