WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Stacy Tutt ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more, and Richmond's defense held William & Mary to just 6 yards rushing Saturday as the Spiders beat the Tribe 35-13.
Richmond (4-7, 4-5 Atlantic 10) scored early in the first quarter on a 6-yard pass from Tutt to Ben Teufel and held onto the lead for the rest of the game, adding two TDs in the second quarter and one more in the fourth.
In addition to completing 5 of 10 passes for 60 yards, Tutt was the Spiders' top rusher with 87 yards on 19 carries.
William & Mary (6-5, 5-4) scored both its touchdowns in the second quarter, both on long passes from Dave Corley to Rich Musinski.
The Tribe was unable to move the ball on the ground, with leading rusher Jonathan Smith gaining just 31 yards on seven carries, and was hampered by turnovers, giving up two fumbles and three interceptions.
