Today just wasn't our day...
It took us a little bit longer to walk off the field tonight after our loss to the University of Portland. For everyone it was the end of our season, for the seniors it was the last soccer game of our career. I knew that either this season would end in a loss or a National Championship so I had acknowledged that at some point this team probably would end on a loss, I just did not think it would come today. We cannot let this loss shadow all the wonderful accomplishments that we have made as a team for our team and for our University this past season. You have to remember that the end of something is a start of something else!
University of Portland is a very good team and I wish them luck throughout the rest of the tournament. As for the Spiders I thank you for all the wonderful moments and memories that will last me a lifetime...this year we "Got it done".
