RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Mike Skrocki had 18 points Sunday to lead Richmond over Norfolk St. 67-38 in the championship game of the Spider Invitational.
Skrocki, who had 25 points in the Richmond (6-4) win over Harvard Saturday, was named tournament MVP.
In the consolation game earlier Sunday, Radee Skipworth scored 24 points as VMI defeated Harvard 71-67.
The Keydets (5-5) won despite losing their top scorer, Jason Conley, in the first half to an injury. Senior Elliott Prasse-Freeman had eight assists for the Crimson (7-5), setting the Harvard assist record at 592.
Richmond trailed the Spartans (3-6) 14-11 midway in the first half before outscoring the visitors 32-10 over the next 19 minutes. Norfolk St. went cold, missing 15-of-18 field goals and turning the ball over 11 times.
Tony Dobbins added 12 points for Richmond. Ryan Grier led the Spartans with 13 points.
Besides Skrocki, named to the all-tournament team were Skipworth and Richard Little of VMI; Derrick Smith of Norfolk St.; and Richmond's Dobbins and Eric Zwayer.
