Crosstown Rivalry Renews Saturday Night

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The 57th meeting between crosstown rivals Richmond and VCU is set for Saturday night at 7:30 at VCU's Siegel Center. The Rams lead the series, which dates back to 1976, 33-23. The Spiders have won seven of the past ten meetings. In each of the past two games, the visiting team has been victorious. Richmond won at VCU, 72-54 during the 2000-01 season while the Rams scored a 65-54 triumph at the Robins Center last year.
Both teams have won back-to-back games. The Spiders beat two Conference USA opponents, Charlotte and UAB. VCU won home contests with North Carolina A & T and Florida Atlantic.
