The Richmond Spiders (14-10, 8-3, 2nd A-10 West) make their second of three visits to Philadelphia Saturday night for a 6 o'clock game at La Salle (10-14, 3-8 T4th A-10 West). The Spiders, winners of three straight and six of seven, are coming off a thrilling 61-59 Robins Center triumph over Saint Joseph's Wednesday night.
If you are going to the game, please be advised the start time is 6pm. The contest will be televised in the Southeastern PA, NJ, Del. area by CN-8. The Spider Radio Broadcast (RichmondSpiders.com, WRNL-AM 910 in Richmond) will also be transmitted live within Tom Gola Arena for fans who wish to hear the game, from the Spiders' perspective, while they watch. Bring your FM walkman to the game and tune it to 88.9FM (Dial location subject to change. Please check this site Saturday for any updates).
The Explorers are coming off a 71-67 upset of city rival Temple Wednesday night. Richmond won the first meeting between the teams, 77-57 at the Robins Center January 5th. That game marked the Spiders first as members of the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Conference.
Richmond enjoyed its initial visit to Philadelphia, beating Temple, 75-68, January 23rd. The Spiders will return for the Atlantic 10 Tournament at the First Union Spectrum March 6-9.
