Women's Soccer Announce 2002 Class

Richmond women's soccer, coming off its fifth straight winning season, will add depth and talent with the addition of a gifted freshman class. The Spiders return eight starters from the 2002 campaign that saw the Spiders finish 10-9-1 and advance to the Championship game in their first season in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Coach Peter Albright welcomes Susan Darrah (Morrison, Colo.),Carly Gettler (Richmond, Va.), Annette Isham (Denver, Colo.), (McLean, Va.), Kaile Partridge (Jupiter, Fla.), Hillary Prince (Plano, Texas) Lindsey Reid (Richmond, Va.), (Huntsville, Ala.) and (Woodbridge, Va.) as the Class of 2006.
Darrah was a all-state (3A) selection both her junior and senior seasons at Kent Denver School in Englewood, Colo. She was a 3A Metropolitan League selection.
Gettler was a three-year starter at Douglas Freeman in Richmond where she anchored the defense and midfield. She also excelled in track at Freeman placing second at districts in the 55-meter hurdles. Gettler also participated on the Richmond Strikers Premier team. Gettler's father, Jeff, is the head men's soccer coach at Richmond.
Isham was the leading goal scorer in the state of Colorado in 2001 at Denver South High School. The speedy forward is a 1v1 player who shines in transition. She also plays for the Colorado Storm U-18, one of the top club teams in Region IV.
A four-year starter at Langley High School, Kolker was a Washington Post Honorable Mention selection at goalkeeper. She is a member of the Va State Olympic Development team and a member of the Region I ODP Pool and plays club soccer for the Chantilly Hurricanes.
Partridge led her Suncoast team to a 24-1 record before falling in the Florida State Semifinals. Three times she was selected all-conference, twice named to the all-region and this past winter she earned the Regional Player of the Year from the Palm Beach Post. Kaile plays for Team Boca, the 200 State Cup Champions and 2001 runners up.
Prince, a defender, was all-conference, all-district and leading scorer for four years at Greenhill High School. She plays for the club team the Dallas Sting, perennial State Champion and region III Finalist. Prince plays both center and outside back, and is a free kick specialist.
Reid was named the 2001 Colonial District Player of the Year as a junior at Douglas Freeman in Richmond, Va. This past season she was named to the Central Region first-team while also being honored with all-academic honors.
A forward from Huntsville High School, was a member of the 2001 state 6A championship team. She also plays on the Lady Kicks '84 travel club team.
A four-year letter winner at Woodbridge High School, has been touted by many as the premier striker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A first-team All State (AAA) selection the past two seasons, she was also named to the Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year. She was also selected a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Regional All American. She plays for the PWSI Sparklers, one of the top club teams in the nation and was the leading scorer at the 2000 National Club Championships. In addition, she also captained her Woodbridge basketball team to the state semifinals, averaging 17 points per game.
