Baseball Reunion Starts Hall Of Fame Weekend

The University of Richmond department of athletics will host a Spider Baseball Reunion at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 7 in the Jepson Alumni Center to celebrate the tradition of success that continued with a program record 53 wins and a No. 11 national ranking during the 2002 season.
The Cincinnati Reds' Sean Casey, Los Angeles Dodgers' Brian Jordan and former Philadelphia A's Porter Vaughan will be special guests at the event. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar will be served and tickets are $25 per person.
The baseball reunion kicks off the Spiders' Hall of Fame weekend, where Sean Casey will join Jordan (class of 1995) and Vaughan (class of 1977) as a distinguished member. Casey joins Greg Beckwith, Wayne Fowler, Jane Dens McManigal and E. Claiborne Robins, Jr. in the class of 2003.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 in the Alumni Center. Tickets are $20 and by reservation only. Following the induction ceremony, the Spider basketball team hosts Atlantic 10 rival St. Bonaventure at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the game are $10.
