
Women's Golf Finishes 12th At Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. -Richmond women's golf continued to shatter program records as they established a new single-round team and individual mark. Sophomore Lauren Ritter's second-round 73 led the Spiders to a program-low 308 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C.
Richmond's new single-round record-holder, Ritter carded a 231 (75-73-83) and tied for 31st at the par-72 Bradford Creek Golf Course. Following Ritter's fine performance were three Spider freshmen.
Lauren Brown fired a three-round 236 (79-75-82), a new three-round tournament low, while tying for 47th. Abby Kingston made her collegiate debut and tied for 56th after shooting a 238 (77-79-82). Ashley Lambert, the Spiders' leader in scoring average 79.1 after 12 rounds, tied for 67th (79-81-80). Sophomore Elizabeth Cushing (85-81-76-242/T-73) finished strong in today's third round.
The Spiders return to the links at the Ross Resorts Invitational in Southern Pines, N.C. from Nov. 3-4.
