LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Richmond women's golf team finished 17th at the Wildcat Fall Invitational, played at the University Club of Kentucky, after carding a three-round 1003 (347-324-332).
The Spiders were led by freshman Ashley Lambert who fired a 244 (85-79-80), tying for 38th, at the three-day event. She was followed by sophomore Lauren Ritter who tied for 53rd after shooting a 250 (86-79-85). Classmate Whitney McComis finished one stroke behind Ritter and tied for 58th after firing a 251 (83-81-87).
Freshman Lauren Brown improved significantly in every round (96-85-80--261/T-85). Sophomore Lesley Monachino (93-96-87--276/94th) also competed for the Spiders.
Richmond returns to action at the Lady Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C. from October 13-14.
