RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Marvin Burroughs threw five touchdown passes Saturday as Villanova defeated Richmond 42-13.
In the second half, Burroughs was 8-for-8 for 158 yards and four touchdowns. Burroughs connected with Anthony Wright for a 6-yard score, John Dieser for 13-yard and 9-yard touchdowns and Quinn Matt for 49-yard TD.
The Wildcats (7-1 5-1 Atlantic 10) had the ball for just 23:19 but scored on drives of 1:09, 3:05, 1:06, 3:29, 0:52 and 1:27.
Bryson Spinner was 18-of-31 for 207 yards for Richmond (2-6, 1-5), and he scored the Spiders' only touchdown on a 40-yard run.
Burroughs finished 15-of-19 for 245 yards.
