Women's Golf Completes Fall Season

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - The Richmond women's golf team improved every round, finishing 12th at the Ross Resorts Invitational played at the par-72 Mid Pines Golf Club Course.
The Spiders, competing in their final fall event, carded a 986 (333-330-323). Freshman Ashley Lambert was Richmond's top performer, tying for 33rd after shooting a three-round 241 (84-77-80).
Classmate Lauren Brown tied for 40th after firing a 245 (80-86-79) at the event, while sophomore Lauren Ritter shot a 249 (86-83-80) and placed 40th.
Sophomores Elizabeth Cushing (83-84-88-255/51st) and Whitney McComis (92-94-84-270/56th) also competed for head coach LaRee Sugg.
The Spiders return to action at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C. from Feb. 28-29.
