RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Kevin Steenberge came off the bench to get career highs of 13 rebounds and four blocks and match his career high of 12 points Monday as Richmond defeated Hampton, 73-42.
The Spiders (6-5) never trailed, leading by as many as 18 in the first half. The Pirates (3-9) could get no closer than 15 in the second half.
Mike Skrocki led the Spiders with 15 points, and Reggie Brown added 11.
Richmond's defense held Hampton to 26.7 percent from the floor and forced 22 turnovers.
Devin Green was the only Pirate in double figures, with 10 points before fouling out with 7:29 remaining.
