Spiders' Pritz and Zeskind Garner A-10 Baseball Accolades

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Centerfielder Bryan Pritz (Wilmette, Ill.) and third baseman Ben Zeskind (Miami, Fla.) earned Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors after their efforts in Richmond's two wins over Drexel and Kentucky, respectively.
Richmond also moves up in the polls after going 2-0 over the weekend at the Charleston Crab House Challenge hosted by The Citadel. Richmond ranks 12th in Baseball America's weekly poll and held their 15th spot in Collegiate Baseball's weekly poll.
Pritz, A-10 Player of the Week, tallied six RBIs over the weekend with five hits and three runs. The slugger doubled on three of his hits, two in Richmond's 11-10 win over Kentucky. He scored the game-winning run against Drexel on Friday afternoon, along with hitting his first double of the season. The junior exploded against the Wildcats, collecting his first home run for the year, and going 4-for-5 at the plate.
Joining Pritz on the honor roll, redshirt freshman Zeskind earned A-10 Rookie of the Week. In his first collegiate appearance, Zeskind tallied one run and two RBI against the Dragons. Adding his name to the list of home runs, Zeskind homered against Kentucky to collect the game-winning RBI. In his six plate appearances, the third baseman has collected three hits and two runs.
Richmond hits the road on Wednesday, February 26 for a match-up against North Carolina at 3:00 p.m.
