Women's Golf Finishes 15th at Bonnie Hoover Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The Richmond women's golf team improved in every round and finished 15th at the JMU/Bonnie Hoover Invitational this weekend.
Playing at the par-72 Lakeview Golf Course in Harrisonburg, the Spiders followed a first-round 357 with a second-round 336 and a final-round 335. Host James Madison won the event, shooting a +71 (322-305-308), 10 shots better than second-place Maryland.
Freshman Lauren Ritter continued to lead the Spiders, tying for 35th after carding a three-round 247 (86-80-81). Classmates Whitney McComis (88-86-85--259/T-68th) and Elizabeth Cushing (92-84-84--260/T-70th) finished behind Ritter. Freshman Lesley Monachino fired a 269 (94-86-89) and sophomore Kristen Folgosa a 271 (91-95-85) at the event.
Richmond returns to action at the CAA Championship in Midlothian, Va. this weekend.
