RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Richmond freshman Whitney McComis fired a two-round 165 (86-79) and tied for first as the Spiders defeated Hampton, 681-722, in a dual match on April 5-6.
McComis' second-round 79 was the low round of the event. She tied with Hampton's Raquel Riley for the title.
The Spiders swept the third through fifth spots on their way to victory. Freshmen Lauren Ritter (82-86/3rd), Lesley Moncachino (85-87/4th) and Elizabeth Cushing (87-89) led the Spiders to victory.
