LaRee Sugg and Whitney McComis To Participate In YES Clinic

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond women's golf coach LaRee Sugg and Whitney McComis, a rising sophomore, will participate in the NCAA's Division I Women's Golf Youth Education through Sports (YES) Clinic, held in West Lafayette, Ind. on Monday, May 19.
The event is being held in conjunction with the NCAA women's golf championships, hosted by Purdue University from May 20-23. In addition to swing and putting lessons, participants - girls and boys between the ages of 10 and 18 -- will attend a life skills session where the YES coordinator will demonstrate positive goal setting techniques, motivational themes and other team building exercises.
Sugg will conduct three full-swing instruction sessions at the clinic. The CAA Women's Golf Coach of the Year is one of 12 collegiate coaches to be chosen.
McComis, one of five freshmen to compete on Richmond's inaugural women's golf team, will assist at one of the stations set up for the more than 60 participants attending the clinic.
