UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's golf team returns to action at the inaugural Cougar Classic played at Yeamans Hall Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 15 and Tuesday, Sept. 16. Spider fans will have several different avenues to track head coach LaRee Sugg's team.
The Cougar Classic is being televised by Comcast Cable in Charleston, S.C. The event will be webcast at cougars.cofc.edu and live stats will also be available at www.golfstat.com.
Ranked no. 92 in the world by Golf Magazine, the Yeamans course will play par-72 and 6,026 yards. The Spiders are one of 17 collegiate women's teams vying for the title.
Richmond teed off its second varsity season with a dual match against Virginia on Sunday, Sept. 7. Freshmen Ashley Lambert and Lauren Brown led the squad with an 81 in their first collegiate round.
