
Women's Golf Begins Second Varsity Season on Sunday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - The 2003-04 women's golf season tees off at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday when the Spiders begin their second varsity season with a dual match against Virginia.
Richmond and Virginia, playing in its first varsity season, will compete at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville.
The Spiders, led by 2003 CAA Coach of the Year LaRee Sugg, compete in their first tournament on Sept. 14-16 at the Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C.
Sophomore Lauren Ritter returns after leading the Spiders with an 84.3 scoring average last season. Classmate Elizabeth Cushing earned CAA Freshman of the Year following her fine performance at the conference championship.
