Track and Field Splits Talent In Va.

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va.-The University of Richmond men's and women's track and field teams are in action this weekend, Jan. 23-24th in both the CNU Invitational and the Virginia Tech Invitational. The Spiders will split the team and send athletes to compete in the CNU Invitational held in Newport News, Va., while the remainder of the team will head to Blacksburg, Va.
The CNU Invitational commences at 4 p.m. on Friday and lasts until Saturday at 6 p.m. Richmond will compete against a 14-team pool that includes: William & Mary, St. Paul's, South Carolina State, VCU, Charleston Southern, Roanoke, Johns Hopkins, Hampton, Norfolk State, Virginia State, Bowie State, Bridgewater, and Shaw.

The Virginia Tech Invitational kicks-off on Friday at 5 p.m. and concludes on Saturday at 5 p.m. Other participating schools include: Duke, ECU, GMU, Georgetown, JMU, Liberty, West Virginia, North Carolina State, UNC, Maryland, Rutgers, VCU, VMI, Marshall, Tennessee and Radford.
