CINCINNATI, Ohio - Junior Hillary Prince (Plano, Texas) scored two goals to lead the University of Richmond women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Xavier this afternoon. The Spiders improve to 8-6-1, 6-3-0 in the conference while the Musketeers fall to 5-11-1, 4-4-1. Richmond remains in second place in the Atlantic 10 standings.
Richmond scored its first goal in the game's 32nd minute when Prince knocked a 40-yard free kick past the Xavier goalkeeper.
In second half action, Prince converted her second free kick from just within 20-yards to give the Spiders a 2-0 lead.
Richmond took 13 shots to Xavier's 10 but earned just three corner kicks while the Muskeeteers took six.
Junior Kelly Kolker (McLean, Va.) earned her fifth win and fourth shutout of the season, making six saves in the net.
Richmond is on the road again next weekend for its final regular season contests, facing Saint Joseph's on Friday night and Temple on Sunday afternoon.
